just a quick question

Can I say
"medium paying jobs"/"average paying jobs"
instead of "jobs with an average salary"?
I googled them and then I found that it's usually "medium-paying jobs" and "average-paying wages", which the latter doesn't make sense to me.
Why is that so?

'Average' sounds much more natural to me than 'medium'.

No my actual question is,
why is it "average-paying wages" and "medium-paying jobs"
rather than both cases with "jobs"?

Oh. Either will work. Or vice versa: average-paying jobs and medium-paying wages. However, my original comment stands: 'medium' sounds odd.

Hi,

If I wanted to talk about wages, I'd just say 'average wages' rather than 'average-paying wages'.
