I am wondering why the first sentence is good, whereas the second one is not. Is that because the second version is just not a good collocation and could be accepted as a good one if the people involved?? have determined it is a good collocation. One has the article and one does not.
1. He has an all-acceptings attitude.
2. He has all-accepting attitude.
I think attitude is a variable noun.
