Just

"He just came to drop the package."

If "just" used like this, would it be ambiguous? I think it can mean "only" or "a short time ago". Am I correct?

Yes. I don't know about others, but when it means "a short time ago" I put more stress on "just" when I say it.

The context will usually make the intended meaning clear.
