No. Not in U.S. courts of law. peers ~ equals. The idea is that the accused is judged by a group of people who are his equals, not by anyone who is, for example, superior to him in status in the eyes of the law, though there are cases where the accused waives his right to a jury trial and is judged only by the judge who hears the case.

It is different in other contexts. For example, in some schools, if you are in the performance arts, at the end of each academic term you must perform for a jury (actors reading a scene, violinists playing a composition, etc.) and be judged by the jury to see how well you are progressing. The jury is composed of the faculty members of the school - not other students. So in this case we're definitely not talking about a jury of peers - just a jury.
