Judgment or judgments?

Hi. I think (I am not sure) there is the phrase "bore all our judgment" in the Bible, and I am sure the word "judgment" could be either countable or uncountable. I think the phrase denote that Jesus took on all the human kind's judgment.

Could we write, "bore all our judgments" (in plural) and still be correct?

I think it would be okay, but you're choice of the noun "humankind" fits with the original spelling and (in my opinion) meaning: all of humanity has a common judgment (i.e. original sin, which leads to other sins and other judgments).

Hi. Thank you. How about this Bible verse, could we write "He himself bore all our sin" at the beginning of the verse and also write "sin" instead of "sins" after the word "to"? In the New International Version of the Bible, 1 Peter 2:24, it is written:

1 Peter 2:24

New International Version (NIV)

Hi,

You are asking 'could we use this word instead of that word?'

You need to consider that these English sentences you are quoting are just translations. Tio use different English words, you first need to understand the words that were written in the original non-English text.
