Are these sentences naturally written?

Is based correct? Would a native speaker leave it in or not?

You shouldn’t judge him [based] on his flaws but his strengths.

You shouldn't judge someone by what they did in the past.

You shouldn't judge someone [based] on what they did in the past.

Do these mean the same thing? Personality and you?

Never judge someone [based] on their looks.

I judge people's personality [based] on their looks. (Is it correct to say “judge someone personality”?
