Hi,
If a train suddenly moves in a haphazard manner, should I use the word ‘jerk’ or ‘jolt’?
“The train jerked forward and I spilled my coffee.”
“The train jolted and I spilled my coffee.”
Thank you.
They're both OK. I think I prefer 'jolted'.
