I have made up the sentences below.
(1) Last year, we joined a lot of giveaways.
(2) Last year, we joined a lot of giveaway events.
Most of my non-native English speaking friends think both "giveaways" and "giveaway events" are okay. May I ask two questions?
(A) Do you agree with my friends?
(B) Is "joined" the right verb?
