John, you don't have enough bone to stand for others

Hi

Could you please rephrase what John is trying to say? I don't think I'm able to put it rightly. Thanks.

Person A (Michael): John, you don't have enough bone to stand for others even when you know that they are being treated badly!
(John has already been doing a lot for Michael to fix his situation)
Person B (John): Michael, I know what you are trying to do. By saying such things you are trying to challenge me so that I do more for you but this is not gonna work!

Thanks. It's okay if you think that what John said is natural and idiomatic. I thought that it's not natural.
