Job satisfaction and Job security

Some people argue that job satisfaction is more important than job security. Others believe that a permanent job is more important. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Many people have a convention that a stable job is not as crucial as a satisfying job. Meanwhile, others insist that the job that we take forever is more necessary. To the way of thinking, I wholly approve of the former view.

It is indeed reasonable that a permanent job helps us to get a high salary easily. To illustrate, today, some artistic jobs such as painters, singers and street performers do not provide us with a staple wage, so people, especially breadwinners, who have passions on those arts will probably find it so difficult to maintain their lives. Therefore, switching to such jobs like tutors, officers, factory workers and receptionists is an ideal choice for them to let out of the burden of finance. Moreover, sometimes, job satisfaction is the cause of danger. As I notice, people who really enjoy being sword swallowers, ballet dancers and boxers have to face more menaces, particularly injury, than others. Accordingly, were they to keep seeking this element, they would have bad health.

However irksome doing satisfying work is, I still emphasize its influences to ourselves. First of all, humans will get success quickly once they have the chance to do what they fancy which makes them always energetic to contribute to their companies. They are even willing to carry heavy workload and try to finish it. Thus, they will gradually get awards and promotion for their exceptional results. Second of all, it would be such a waste on people’s youth and time if they just focused on the job they are reluctant to do. As a result, they will easily regret when getting old. For instance, my grandmother has been so regretting up to now since she opted for business for a monthly paycheck instead of an actress which she has been longing to do. Lastly, it seems to me that fighting for what we feel joyful in a job changes us for the better. In this competitive labor market, it is tough on us to find real job enjoyment, so those who risk quitting a high-paid job for their favorite jobs will become mature as they have to overcome difficulties and train a lot to fulfil their aims.

Altogether, I still assume that enjoyment in jobs is the key leading us to success, a delightful life and a better version of ourselves. Hence, it is more worthwhile to be taken rather than job security.
