Job posting / job postings

Hi,

Background:
A company will hire 6 graduates but those 6 positions are identical.

Question:
Is it "one job posting for 6 positions"?
If none of these is correct, could you please correct the grammar?

Sentence1:
In response to your job postings for the trainee accountants, I have attached my resume.
Sentence2:
In response to your job postings for the trainee accountant, I have attached my resume.
Sentence3:
In response to your job posting for the trainee accountants, I have attached my resume.
Sentence4:
In response to your job posting for the trainee accountant, I have attached my resume.

Thanks

I would recommend sentence #4. It need not be your concern how many accountants they plan to hire. You may look at it as the posting for the persons or the posting for the classification.

  • I would recommend sentence #4.
  • It need not be your concern how many accountants they plan to hire.
  • You may look at it as the posting for the persons or the posting for the classification.
  • If you're more comfortable with plural accountants, I'd drop the article: "In response to your job posting for trainee accountants," But somehow I take the plural as a bit presumptuous.
  • You're sticking your nose in their business.

Hi,

After reading your various threads about this, my feeling is that you are tying yourself up in knots unnecessarily.

My advice is that you should be more direct, and much more dynamic, in your approach,.

Basd on my experience with cover letters and resumes, I'd say something like this.

I would like to apply for a position as a trainee accountant.
