Job Offer Email

Hello,

I'm emailing a professor to get an extension on a job offer, so I'd greatly appreciate your suggestions to improve the text below:

Dear Professor XXX,

I was wondering if there was any possibility that I could get an extension on the deadline for accepting the offer. I'm still in the interview process for a faculty position, and although my guess is, with a high probability, I'm going to accept your offer, but nevertheless would greatly appreciate it if I could have more time until mid April. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best Regards,
