Job loss v a job loss ?

I was reading some article and came across the following sentence
"the problem is the inability to obtain and/or retain mortgage due to job loss or job restrictions".

I assume the sentence is grammatically correct as it's written by a US Federal agency, but is any of the following usages also correct?

(a) "the problem is the inability to obtain and/or retain mortgage due to A job loss or job restrictionS".
(b) "the problem is the inability to obtain and/or retrain mortgage due to job loss or job restriction".
(c) "the problem is the inability to obtain and/or retrain mortgage due to A job loss or job restriction".
(d) "the problem is the inability to obtain and/or retrain mortgage due to a loss of job or job restrictionS".
(e) "the problem is the inability to obtain and/or retrain mortgage due to a loss of job or job restriction".
(f) "the problem is the inability to obtain and/or retrain mortgage due to loss of job or job restrictionS".

I thought as "loss" here conveys "A state of being deprived", shouldn't we put an article in front of "job loss".
Any help?
