Is the construction below, correct?
"The system works unstable"

It seems the verb "work" is a so called "active verb" and "unstable" is an adjective... I was taught that active verbs are supposed not to be followed by adjectives...

Can someone help me understand what is going on here?
Thank you in advance!

The construction as it stands is not correct. Presumably one of these is meant: The system is unstable. The system operates unstably.
