Java / Firefox, Problem with using Java under Firefox.

0Hi Everybody, 02br
02br
00I have a problem and I am unable to solve it. 02br
02br
00I use Firefox to browse the Internet and when I want to visit pages which contain Java applets, the browser want to install the missing Java Runtime Environment. There is no problem up to this point, but a JRE has already resided on my computer. The Internet Explorer uses this JRE automatically. Why do not the Firefox? 05002br
02br
00To install the plugin is one of the possible solutions, but I do not want to do it because I have already had one JRE. 02br
02br
00Has anybody any idea about it? Is there any other solution at all? 02br
02br
00Thank you in advance for your help. 02br
02br
00Best Regards, 02br

00Uninstall the JRE you have aready installed on that. And install JRE 5.0. If you have already installed the same JRE 5.0 so . Try this time with different source. 02br

00I have already taken the action what you suggested and it works. Until installing I could select the browsers which I wanted the JRE to support. I think this option is part of the previous version of the JRE, but this computer resides at my workplace and I was not the preson who installed that. 02br

If you're using XP, it probably uses MS virtual machine, firefox doesn't use that vm for security reasons. So you'll need to install the JRE from sun's website.

Did you install JRE before installing Firefox ?
if so try uninstalling JRE and then re-install JRE.

That should take care of it.
