This is from the Japanese national exam, 2003.
The correct answer is 2. I can't understand why 1 is incorrect.
Please, explain this to me. Thanks.

2 is the correct answer in the context given. Masa has visited the UK, but not Edinburgh, and asks Greg: "What's it like?" (That is: what is Edinburgh like?)
