Jane's husband will be returning...

Jane’s husband will be returning from South America quite soon.
  1. Jane and her husband will be returning from South America quite soon.
  2. It’s Jane’s husband that is returning from South America quite soon.
  3. It won’t be long before Jane’s husband returns from South America.
  4. It won’t be long before Jane’s husband returns from South America quite soon.
My first choice is “B.” but the answer is “C. It won’t be long…”. Is “B” incorrect because it doesn’t fit the meaning of the index sentence “will be returning…” Thanks in advance.
