Jam, jelly and preserve

Hi.
What are the differences between jam, jelly and preserve?
I have the impression that, jelly is the same as jam and it is just less sweet. And that's the reason Peanut butter is eaten with jelly rather than jam, because peanut butter is already sweet.
And as for preserve, the only difference with jam is that, the fruit is also present, so when I get strawberry preserve, I see strawberry slices in it as well.
Let me know if my impressions about these words are correct.

Jam is BrE for the US 'jelly'.

In BrE, 'jelly' is the US Jell-o.

What I know is that, the difference between jelly and jam has nothing to do with American or British English. I have both in my fridge, so I can see and taste the difference.

You are right, the jelly is very clear comparing to jam and preserve.
And I have seen marmalade of orange which is as you described.
