I've/have/got

What's the difference between these three:

I've got.

I have.

I got.

Do they imply the same thing? Please put them in a sentence for me. Thank you very much.

Hi,

They all are used to indicate current possession. eg

I've got a car. (casual)

I have got a car. (Just less casual)

I got a car. Comm

Hi Clive,

You know I'm watching this movie, "Get him to greek" and in it they're all using:

we got 35 minutes to catch an international flight. And

I got six kids.

so I'm quite confused as to why if it's uneducated and improper grammar, people tend to use it very frequently?

Thanks.

Precious;

This language is typical of a dialect or very informal speech, where people have omitted the "'ve" after "I" It is not considered correct in "standard" American English. Got is a very common verb. There is a famous jazz song by George Gershwin with the title"I got rhythm" The chorus lines are:

I got rhythm
I got music
I got my man/girl
Who could ask for any
