I've seen what the magician is doing.

Hi,

With "I've seen", should I use the past or present tense for the what-clause? "I've seen" means "I saw" in the past, so I feel I should use the past tense for the what-clause. What do you think?

I've seen what the magician is doing.

I've seen what the magician was doing.
