I've question about conditional

HI,

I have this sentence on my book :
" I'll do it if it will help Preston."

The tenses work together.
"in my book"
comma needed: "help, Preston"

But it isn't condetional 2 , that the "I will do that " = result , " if it help to Priston" = conditional ?

I believe it's an example of what some call "mixed conditionals".

Correct. You can have will in both clauses if there's some kind of bargaining or some reciprocal exchange of some kind going on.

If you'll help me, I'll help you.
I'll hold this part steady for you if it will do any good.
If Jane will pay this time, Jack will pay next time.
