I've many problems vs I've got many problems?

"I've many problems." doesn't sound good to me. I think "I've got" in BrE or "I have" in both BrE and AmE would sound more natural and the contraction is not usually made in that context.

Any native speaker's opinion? Thanks.

That's because it is dated. We don't generally reduce 'have' as a main verb any more.

Anonymous I think "I've got" in BrE

That's pretty AmE, too.

Anonymousor "I have" in both BrE and AmE

Yes, that, too.
