I've made a phone call...

I've made a phone call, but, again, there was no answer to that.

Is the sentence above grammatical?

--------------

What I mean is the usage of grammatical tenses there.

Is it correct to describe two different events, i.e., "calling" and "not answering", with two different tenses when both events realise in the same real time in the past?

Top answer

I've made a phone call, but, again, there was no answer. That is grammatically correct and natural. The original was not very natural.
