I've lost it!

Hi everyone,

While I was reading Flash Comics, I've encountered a phrase that I couldn't know what they meant by. I really would appreciate it if someone could help:

Even as the hospital and Fallville begin to shimmer and fade in the monarch of motion’s wake …

I’ve looked for each word meaning individually and I know their meaning, but what about the whole phrase, what is meant by here?

Note: Fallville is the town where Flash was born.

Thanks & Regards,

Thanks for your help, I'll post 2 pages that might help you in deciding what is meant by that phrase!

The said phrase is at the end of the first page.

Thanks in advance.

OK
He moves in an amazing fashion, thus we can call him bombastically:
He's the king/monarch of motion
He starts quickly, thus the hospital and Fallville are left behind him, fading, in his wake, like him being a boat leaving a wake/trail after it
