I've had much worse

Hi,

can you please advise whether my sentence is well worded?

"It's a really nice bike but "I've had" much worse that "were" far more expensive."

The "but" seems incorrect.
These are both positive statements, praising the deal.
It's like saying, "She's a really nice girl, but she's beautiful."

I'd suggest getting rid of the "but," and using a full stop after "bike." (two sentences)
