and making me look like the bad guy.

Eden: Oh please, you dated Shay for like two months.
I've had longer colds. (Mocking Jude she had a really short relationship?) Get over it.

"Sulking" is an affectation. I suppose you could argue that "playing sulking victim" is redundant, as "sulking" contains an element of playing. But I don't think "sad" necessarily fits.

"Sulking" is an affectation. I suppose you could argue that "playing sulking victim" is redundant, as "sulking" contains an element of playing.
But I don't think "sad" necessarily fits. A sulking person plays the aggrieved person. (Victim, as you say.)

I think your second analysis is right on.
