I've gotten / I've got.

I have got = I have something. Example: I've got keys in my pocket (right now).
I have gotten = I have had something in my entire life. Example: I've gotten this issue two-three-four times in my life.

Am I correct?

I have gotten / had a bad cold a few times in my life, but never the flu. (Either one is ok.)
I have had this teddy bear my whole life. Auntie Bess gave it to me when I was a baby. (Not "gotten")
