I've got a job!

When we talk about recent things that are new for our interlocutors we use the PP:

-I've got a job!

-You must be very glad of that.

But what if that person knew that we just came back from a job interview?

Do we use the PS in that case?

-I got a job!

-I knew you would!

Voytaszek But what if that person knew that we just came back from a job interview? I got the job! I've got the job!

  • Voytaszek But what if that person knew that we just came back from a job interview?
  • I got the job!
  • I've got the job!
  • You can use both of these.
  • It is "the" because in this case the other person already knows about the job.
