I've been wondering

Is it OK to say: I've been wondering the other day.....

I think it would be better: I wondered the other day OR I was wondering the other day. However, what would the first one mean?

thanks

Present perfect does not work together with a mention of a specific past time of action, so your first sentence offers no meaning.

I've been wondering since last Tuesday/for a month (and I am still wondering) .......

I wondered the other day - I was wondering the other day (and I am no longer wondering)

Hi,

I assume this post is related to another of yours, in which you had "since" + a specific past time:
NewguestShe's been telling me since Monday to come and visit her.
If I changed Monday into "yesterday" would it be alright?
