The other little reference in there was the line about ET.
The movie ET was about a cute little alien and one of the lines in the movie was "phone home" so there is a play on words. "Nothing to phone home about" does mean "nothing special" but it played on that catch line from the movie.
Yeah, except I don't know what the "DUI of the week" means. DUI does refer to drunk driving, but it's not clear what they meant. Perhaps another celebrity who was arrested for it?
