It's the first time...

Hello. I read a sentence like this.

"It's first time that I wore the new shirt."

The main clause is in present tense; the subordinate clause, however, is in past tense. Therefore my question is, did I wear it or not?

Thanks.

Hi CB,

This is what I found in the book called "Longman Preparation for the New TOEIC Test". On page 344 it shows the audio script of TOEIC practice for Part 2: Question-Response:

Speaker A: It's almost time to close.
Speaker B:
(A) We're staying open late tonight. (Correct answer)
(B) It took almost five minutes.
(C) It's the first time I wore these clothe

LcchangAnswer C isn't the right answer, so is it possible that whoever created this question item meant to confuse us by using a wrong tense in (C)?
Many things are possible in this world.
