It's more like a ...

Hi

Backstage at our concert, it's more like a dressing-room after a boxing or a soccer match than a rock gig.

--- Does it mean that during their concert backstage looks like a dressing room in which a boxing or a football match took place instead of a rock gig?

Top answer

I wouldn't say the match took place in the dressing room. The implication is probably that the level of physical activity is higher in their group than in other groups. (I don't know that this is true).

  • So it would be more like "hitting the locker room" or "hitting the showers," being totally exhausted and possibly hurting, throwing your sweaty clothes on the floor, etc.

Hi Avangi

So it says somethng like: After our concert when we go to the dressing room we feel and behave more like boxers or soccer players after a hard match rather than like pop stars after a rock gig.

Am I right?
