It's more expensive than buying a new one or to buy a new one ?

Hello!

Could you please tell me which is the correct form:

- It's more expensive than buying a new one or It's more expensive than to buy a new one? ( are both forms acceptable?)

Thanks in advance,

Ted

As I see it, both forms are OK. The first form is more common.
