It's just another idea

Hi!
Look at the following sentences:
"With all this going on within me I couldn’t sleep, and if I were going to prepare the bomb tomorrow I needed my rest badly. I am something of a crank about sleep, for somehow if I get seven and a quarter hours instead of eight I feel afflicted and drag myself around, although there’s nothing really wrong with me. It’s just another idea. That’s how it is with my ideas; they seem to get strong while I weaken.

I can't make out what does the writer mean by "It's just another idea.". What is just another idea? What connection is there between the first part of the above sentences and "It's just another idea"? It's part of Henderson the Rain King by Saul Bellow.

Thank you for your reply. But what does he mean by " it's just another idea" exactly? Does he mean that It's an illusion? Does he mean that I am obsessed with sickness, without having any affliction?
