It's fine

When someone says, "thank you for treating us!"

Is it okay to say, "It's fine!" Or is that considered rude?

Does "it's fine" mean it's okay or not a problem?

Thank you.

When someone thanks you, a normal response would be you're welcome or [it was] my pleasure or that's okay or [it was] no trouble or no problem . It's fine is not a usual response in that situation, but it's certainly not rude, and it would be taken to mean something like those other responses I listed. It's fine or that's fine is used to give your assent or agreement.
