it's been months since

Two questions about one page of a comic book.

1. Does "it's been months since" mean that the woman is telling his wife "it's been months since the last time you received an invitation from the court"?

2. Are "please do be a good boy and bring it to the palace" the real words of the king? Because, it is not a formal way of writing for a king. Are these the words of the man (Wolf) imitating the request of the king?
