Hi,I need a way to express... something I say in Italian. I'd like to know any idiomatic ways (in AmE, mainly) to say that a certain thing is not likely to happen because a simpler thing is not likely to happen either, so you can forget about that thing.In Italian we could say "It's already a lot", "It's already a great thing", "It's already enough"...Some examples:Learning Japanese? It's already a lot that I learn English! Going to the store... now? I'm still in my bed, and it's already a lot if I get up before midday...Another beer? No, no, it's already enough if I manage to finish this one...Make peace with Sarah? No way! It's already a lot that I don't punch her every time I see her stupid face....If you understand... what can I say? Thanks in advance

I don't dare try to learn Russian. I'm doing good/well to learn a little bit of German [which I'm having touble with as it is].

I have no interest in getting together with my ex-wife, let alone her new husband.

There are others, I'm sure, but these are what come to mind right now.
