It's about / it's all about

Which should be used when someone tries to explain something?

Context:

A. What was that?

B1. It's about a new type of ....

B2. It's all about a new type of ...

Top answer

B1 is perhaps stylistically slightly better: 'all' is a rather informal intensifier that is not really necessary. Grammatically, however, both are OK; the difference is negligible.
