It's a short passage which I had to rewritten. It is taken from Stig of the Dump

Barney woke up and looked around. He noticed that water dripped through a crack in the roof of the shelter. There was also a sort of a chimney made from a batch of old tin cans. Many thoughts flashed through his mind such as – who built this shelter and why did they build it here. He picked a tube of a vacuum cleaner which was on the ground.

Then he heard a noise. He realized that he was being observed. He was terrified because he didn’t expect anyone there. He moved around slowly holding the tube of the vacuum cleaner with both his hand so that he could defend himself.

Suddenly he noticed a dark shadow moving. Barney felt curious so he moved closer to look better at the dark figure. He could see someone with a lot of shaggy hair and two bright black eyes. He was wearing a rabbit-skin and speaking in grunts. He also carried a real bow and arrows, and his arrowheads were of flint, the kind that were made thousands of years ago by rough people who weren't alive any more. He never thought that the chalk-pit was inhabited by a caveman. Barney’s face turned white with fear, he tried to escape but he couldn’t move, his body was frozen like a statue.

Then the caveman smiled at the boy and Barney realized that the caveman didn’t want to harm him. Barney tried to speak to him but the caveman couldn’t speak English. Barney wanted to know where he came from and how he managed to survive in the dump at the bottom of the chalk pit. Barney decided to call him Stig and so they started to communicate with each other with gestures. Soon they became friends.
