Is the second sentence in each case correct? It is the same sentence with the same meaning. In each case "it" is supposed to mean "his complaining about it".
1-He says he does not want to complain about what happened. That is good because I don't want to listen to it.
2-He is not complaining about what happened. That is good because I don't want to listen to it.
3-He has nothing to complain about. That is good because I don't want to listen to it.
