Hi,
Please explain the expressions below in bold, thanks.

1.She said I should not get my hopes up.

2.Mark said he had plans for their wedding - a big event, a big celebration. Mark said Tom would be the best man, and Mary said her sister would be her matron of honor. Mark said Mary could not ask her sister because Tom would be bringing his girlfriend and it would be a scene.
