Is the use of "disservice" natural here?

[interviewee to interviewer]

I never said I'd accept such violence --  and it would be a great disservice for you to convey that impression to the viewers.

Sorry, MM, but could you please tell me why it is impossible to judge the appropriateness of the use of "disservice" in that sentence? Is more context required?

A senior journalist was interviewing a famous politician -- he twisted what she was saying and emphatically asked:

"So you you accept such violence?"

...and the politician replied.

It sounds natural to me.

The politician is saying it would be harmful, either to him personally, or to the viewers, to convey or imply that he accepts whatever violence they were discussing when he does not in fact accept it, or that's not what he meant by what he said.
