It will fall on your body or person?

Hi,

My kid played outside with the sand this morning.
He used a big toy spoon to scoop up the sand and then toss it.
Can you look at what I said to him and tell me if there is something unnatural?
Throw the sand sideways, or forward, but don't throw it upward.
If you throw it upward, it will fall on your person.
Can I say "it will fall on your body"?
Thanks very much!

Thanks for your help.

I find in my dictionary a phrase "searched the prisoner's person".

Is that correct?
