"It was pleasure to talk with you" or "It was pleasant to talk with you"

"It was pleasure to talk with you" or "It was pleasant to talk with you". Can someone explain me why the first is right ? "pleasure" is a noun while "pleasant" is adjective so why we are using the noun rather than the adjective ?

The correct phrase is "It was a pleasure to talk with you". You have to keep in mind that "pleasure" is a noun, so it needs to have the article "a" before it.
