It was just like travelling in a vast desert without orientations.

Hi

Is this sentence natural English? Any other suggestions?

(The phase in your life when you don't know what you are doing/where you are going or what your aim is.)

It was just like travelling in a vast desert without orientations.

Thanks,

Tom

It was just like travelling in a vast desert without direction.
It was just like travelling in a vast desert without signposts.

But this is my choice:

It was just like wandering (aimlessly) in a vast desert.
