Hi there, it or the can anyone please tell me which one I should use in my writing? Are they interchangeable in the following context?
My brother bought a wrist watch last year. The watch/Itwas made of gold but unluckily he lost it

It's not good style to repeat the same word too often, so I recommend "It was made ...".
