It usage

Are these sentences correct:

1-It was unusual his behaving that way.
2-It was smart his saying that he had met me only yesterday.

3-It was a pity his being ill.
1-It was a terrible accident his slipping and falling down the stairs.

It these sentences are correct, don't they need a comma before 'his'?
