It takes sb. [time] V/Ving

1.It is fun to watch TV.

2. It is fun watching TV.

Some native speakers told me that the above sentences are both correct. Do you agree?

3. It took me one hour to do my English homework.

4. It took me one hour doing my English homework.

I know that # 3 is correct. Is #4 also acceptable?
