It seems I'm far away

Even though there maybe times it seems I'm far away

But never wonder where I am

Cause I am always by your side

Could anybody tell conotation of the red lines?

bepleased maybe Should be two words: may be It may seem I have my head in the clouds, not paying attention, day-dreaming while we are together. Or it could be more literal in that the people are not near each other.
