Hi,
It's fine.

It is a good sentence.
I suppose "it" refers to a farm, a country, or perhaps a geographical area, such as Napa Valley.
If "it" refers to a company or a family, we would say "They produce," rather than "it produces".

hi lin,
i know its a very old question but even then i would like to give my reply,
in my opinion it should be like this: " It produces a lot of fruit and vegetables which is consumed all over the country."
{ what do you think? }

Nice try! You need, however, ... fruit and vegetables which are consumed .... The plural subject requires are.

o yes, i had forgotten that there are two fruit and veg.
hmmm.. but if there was only one of those two items then is could be used there because fruit and veg. are representing a group or class of items.
am i right?

In addition to the 'is/are' point, you have also omitted 'the' from the phrase 'the fruit and vegetables'. That changes the meaning.
